The Caribbean Premier League and Cricket West Indies have announced the launch of a new cricket league in the West Indies, the West Indies Breakout League. This league will be launched with the cooperation of CPL and the West Indies Cricket Board.
It will solely be a platform for inexperienced and young boys. Only those players who have played less than 40 A-list matches or 10 International matches and have an age under 30 are eligible to play.
This league aims to find the new T20 talent at the grassroots level, groom them, and give them opportunities. The new talent who will perform well in this league will be picked by different franchises, and they will have a chance to play for CPL teams and team West Indies team.
A total of 6 teams will be taking part in this league, every team representing its CPL franchise and regional cricket board. Here is the list of teams,

West Indies breakout league is starting from 25th April, 2025. There will be a total of 17 matches, and all matches will be played at the same venue, in Brian Lara Cricket Stadium. The match will start at 2:00 PM local time; here is the complete schedule of the West Indies breakout league.
