Guyana Amazon Warriors were well placed in their run chase against Jamaica Kingsmen in the 26th match of CPL 2026, needing 62 runs from the remaining 60 balls after reaching 98 for 1 in 10 overs at Providence Stadium, Guyana, on Friday.

Jamaica Kingsmen posted 159 for 7 after being put in to bat, setting Guyana Amazon Warriors a target of 160. In response, the home side made a strong start to the chase, losing only one wicket inside the first ten overs while keeping ahead of the required rate.

The result of the match had not been confirmed at the time of writing, with the chase still in progress.

Guyana Amazon Warriors came into the contest unbeaten in their previous four matches of the tournament, while Jamaica Kingsmen had won four and lost four from eight games so far this season. The two sides had met once before in CPL 2026, when Amazon Warriors won by six wickets in Kingston, with Mohammad Nabi taking four wickets and Shai Hope scoring an unbeaten 56 to seal victory.

Providence Stadium has generally favoured batting first this season, with matches at the venue producing an average first-innings total in excess of 170, making Jamaica Kingsmen’s total of 159 a competitive one on paper heading into the second innings.
